SIMMER'S BLUE WATER VOYAGE

This is Morodup, a typical San Blas Island with a small hut.  Most of the islands are very small sand islets covered with coconut palms, surrounded by impressive reefs rising from 75 to 100 foot depths less than 100 yards offshore.  The next picture is Colleen with some Kuna Indian friends from Nuinudup Island onboard SIMMER.

The coral reefs are spectacular to snorkel and one day we caught two huge coral crabs (Colleen is holding the claws of one) and a stone crab. We made crab cakes, crab salad, crab spaghetti and crab pizza with them!  There was alot of meat in the claws and bodies.
