SIMMER'S BLUE WATER VOYAGE

Pilot whales riding SIMMER's bow wave in the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Carpentaria.  Pilot whales are considered more closely related to dolphins than whales, but they have a very bulbous head.  These whales were  12 to 15 ft. long.  A view of Gove Harbor from the Gove Yacht Club.  There is a sizeable live-aboard community here and the yacht club is very accommodating and friendly.
