SIMMER'S BLUE WATER VOYAGE

Simmer is a Southern Cross 35 built by Clark Rider in 1984.  She is 35' 6" long, 11' 6" in beam, double-ended, and designed by Tom Gilmer of Allied Seawind fame.  She displaced 17,500 lbs. on the day we pulled her and took this picture.   The picture was taken the week before we left for the Chesapeake Bay.  We pulled her to do one final wax job and to apply a final coat of anti fouling bottom paint before our trip south.  The wind generator for charging our batteries is clearly visible on the stern.
